Easter at Kilravock Castle features two separate experiences:

  1. The Family Easter Trail – suitable for all ages

  2. The Easter Heist – an immersive game for ages 16+

Please carefully read the ticket details below before booking.

The Family Easter Trail

This is a self-guided Easter trail through the grounds of Kilravock Castle, featuring puzzles, activities and a chocolate egg for every child. Suitable for all ages.

Tickets

Group Ticket: £24. this covers up to 4 people, with a maximum of 2 adults:

  • 2 adults + 2 children, or

  • 1 adult + 3 children

This is the best-value option for most families.

Add-Ons: If your group size is larger than 4, you can add on extra people to your group ticket:

  • Extra Child: £6

  • Extra Adult: £4

Individual Tickets: For single visitors or very small groups: £12 per person.

Important Information

  • All Family Trail visits must be pre-booked

  • Your ticket entitles you to a timed 2 hour slot - please arrive no sooner than 10 minutes before and no later than 15 minutes after your start time.

  • The trail is outdoors - please dress appropriately for the weather

Step inside the grounds of Kilravock Castle for a high-stakes Easter adventure. As a team, you will work with your fellow players to solve riddles, uncover hidden clues, and stay vigilant. But beware, there are hidden Saboteurs amongst you - misdirecting, delaying, and trying to steal the advantage for themselves.

Will you trust the right people? Can you solve the riddles and find the hidden objects in the arboretum before the Saboteurs slow you down?

Teams of Fellows and Saboteurs will clash in a thrilling test of wit, observation, and strategy. Piece together your riddles, expose the mischief-makers, and race through the arboretum in a high-stakes winner-takes-all sprint to £100.

A game of deception, deduction, and Easter-themed fun awaits - only for those ready to question everyone around them.

Mission Details

*Please note that missions will only run if there are 12 participants - this is to ensure the game is viable. If we have bookings of less than 12 we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel. You will be offered a full refund in that situation.

What to Expect

  • Upon arrival your tickets will be scanned and you will be directed to the Kilravock Castle Chapel for your briefing.

  • Your host will welcome you and explain the rules of your mission, and the roles of the saboteurs and the fellows.

  • You will then be blindfolded and the host will secretively select the saboteurs of the mission. You will not get to choose whether you play the role of saboteur or fellow.

  • Saboteurs must not reveal their identities.

  • One winner takes home £100 cash

  • Tickets must be booked in advance

  • YOU MUST ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START TIME ON YOUR TICKET. Late arrivals will not be admitted and will not be eligible for a refund.

Booking Advice

We have a range of tickets available to suit your needs - please see above section for information on tickets.

  • Family Trail tickets sell fastest at weekends

  • The Easter Heist has very limited capacity and is expected to sell out

  • Book early to secure your preferred date and time

  • Your ticket entitles you to 2 hours and includes parking.

Accessibility

  • Disabled parking is available.

  • Sturdy off-road buggies & wheelchairs are welcomed on our short trail, however it is a woodland trail and might be bumpy.

  • Our longer trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies - seriously, don’t attempt it.

  • We don’t have ramps.

  • Please be sensible and exercise caution especially after rain.

The Great Outdoors

  • Despite our best efforts we haven’t mastered weather control yet and we are open to the elements.

  • Please come dressed appropriately - we recommend wellies or outdoor boots, and coats.

  • Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and you must pick up after them.

Golden rule: leave only footprints, take only memories.

When You Arrive

You will be greeted and parked a short walk from the trails and castle. Disabled parking is available so please notify a parking attendant if you require it, and you will be directed.

  • Once you’ve parked up, follow the signs to the castle and trails.

  • Please have your tickets ready to show the attendants.

  • Your tickets will be scanned and you will be provided with a map and directed to the start of your trail.

  • We have a longer trail and a shorter trail - you are welcome to do any, either, or both.

  • Tickets include access to the trails, maps, word games, photo opps, parking, and a chocolate egg per child.

  • Chocolate eggs are collected at the end of the trail.

Facilities

  • Toilet facilities on site are limited - we haven’t got disabled access or baby changing facilities yet.

  • We’d love you to join us for a Teddy Bears picnic before or after you’ve done your trail

  • Teddy bears picnics can be purchased when you buy your ticket and will be available for collection on the day

  • We have a limited number of picnic benches available so we recommend you bring a picnic blanket with you.

  • Teddy Bears picnics are pre-order ONLY. We are unable to provide these on the day.

  • Please bring your fave teddy bears!

  • We will also be operating a small cafe offering with teas, coffees, cakes, soups, and light snacks.

Food & Drinks Information

We’re excited to be offering Teddy Bears Picnics in our beautiful castle grounds! These can be purchased in advance when you book your ticket and will be available for collection on arrival.

The Kilravock Castle café will also be open during event days, serving hot drinks, cakes, soups and light snacks.

We have a limited number of picnic benches available so we recommend you bring a picnic blanket with you if you’re joining us for food and drinks.

Please note that Teddy Bears Picnics are pre-order only and we will not be able to provide these on the day.

  • Yes, to ensure everybody gets the best experience possible and to help us manage the flow of traffic and people, we do require a booking.

  • Yes parking is free - there are no charges for parking or disabled parking.

  • We strongly advice NOT doing this. We cannot guarantee entry if you haven't booked in advance.

  • Yes - you can change your booking to another available slot at any time. Please cancel your original booking to free up space for someone else.

  • Yes, we pride ourselves on being a dog friendly patch - in fact we welcome all your friendly pets! We just ask that animals are kept on leads at all times and any mess is cleared and disposed of responsibly. Please also be aware of small children around you who might be frightened of dogs.

  • Yes, we welcome visitors on foot - there are lot's of routes to the Patch

  • Yes we will have some loos but facilities are limited and we do not have disabled access or baby changing facilities yet.

  • We have a good selection of refreshments on site including hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and sweet treats, and of course homemade pumpkin soup!

  • Yes, we are very open to the elements and can't prevent mud - we think this is all part of the fun so bring your wellies and get stuck in!

  • The patch is located in a field and we don't have ramps. However, as long as we haven't had torrential rain the Patch should be accessible to sturdy wheelchairs and off-road buggies.

  • Yes we have plenty of outdoor seating available and some sheltered seating in the woodland trail. There is some limited shelter inside the cafe also.

  • Our pumpkins are priced according to size and there is a size guide at the entrance. Our prices start at £3

  • We recommend weather-appropriate clothing and footwear; a bag to take home your pumpkins; some money to pay for your pumpkins (cash or card); and a camera to capture those stunning autumnal scenes!

  • Absolutely! Our daughter is an autumn baby and we think birthday parties at the patch are a great idea! Please email or call us to enquire (07903232118)

  • Yes, we accept card payments but not AMEX. We are in the middle of a field so please bear with us if payment takes a little while to go through. We also accept cash.

  • We really value your support and engagement - don't hesitate to either speak to a member of staff on the patch or email us

  • The Play Patch and Woodland Trail are the latest additions to our pumpkin patch! You can either book and pay online or at the cafe on site.

  • Access to the pumpkin patch is free.
